If you have been holding off on a cordless vaporizer because your yard runs on Craftsman, this is the part that removes the obstacle. Snap a Craftsman V20 pack onto this adapter and it powers any DeWalt-socket InstantVap — the Original, the Compact and the Lite. No new charger, no buying into a second battery platform to treat your hives.

What it fits

• Craftsman V20 lithium-ion batteries — the V20 system only, not the older 19.2V C3 packs
• InstantVap Original, Compact and Lite — the three DeWalt-socket models. The Turbo is not DeWalt-socket.
• Snap-on fit — no wiring, no modification, nothing permanent. It stays on the gun or lives in the case.
• Heat- and impact-resistant ABS, light enough to forget it is there

Which battery size

For a full yard, a 4Ah or 5Ah Craftsman pack is the sensible choice. A 2Ah will run a Lite through a handful of hives but will have you swapping packs on a bigger apiary.

Worth knowing before you order

• This adapter powers the tool only. It does not charge, and it must never go into a charger.
• It works in one direction: Craftsman battery into a DeWalt-socket tool. It does not let a DeWalt pack run a Craftsman tool — that is a different part, and we do not sell it.
• The adapter adds a little length below the gun. At a hive entrance that is rarely an issue, but it is worth knowing before your first treatment.
