PD-101 Full Face Respirator: A1 Organic Vapor + P2 Particulate (CE EN 136)

The PD-101 Full Face Respirator pairs a CE certified full face mask with P-A-3 combination cartridges rated A1 organic vapor with P2 particulate filtration. One mask protects your eyes and airways together, which matters any time you work around acid particulate, fine dust, or solvent vapor.

Specifications

• Mask certification: CE certified to EN 136:1998, tested inward leakage of 0.04 percent
• Cartridges: P-A-3 bayonet set, A1 organic vapor with P2 particulate filtration
• Published penetration testing (manufacturer data, 95 L/min): 0.03 percent or less against solid aerosol, a 99.97 percent capture rate, and 1 percent or less against oil aerosol
• Vapor capacity: A1 rating tested to a 75 minute protection time (cyclohexane at 3.5 mg/L)
• Fit: soft face seal, 5 point adjustable harness, compatible with standard bayonet fit test adapters
• Visibility: impact resistant lens, wide panoramic view, downward facing exhaust valve to reduce fogging

What the test data show

A P3 particulate rating requires 0.05 percent or lower penetration against both solid and oil aerosols. The P-A-3's published results come in at 0.03 percent on solids, inside that threshold, and 1 percent on oils, outside it, which is why the cartridge certifies as P2. Against dry solid aerosols, the type formed when vaporized oxalic acid recondenses, the tested capture rate is 99.97 percent.

Know before you buy

• This respirator is CE certified. It is not NIOSH approved.
• US EPA pesticide labels, including oxalic acid products registered for varroa treatment, commonly specify NIOSH approved respirators. Read and follow the label of any product you apply.
• Not for workplace use where OSHA requires a NIOSH approved respirator.
• A respirator only protects with a proper seal. Facial hair along the seal line prevents a seal.
• Replace cartridges on schedule per manufacturer guidance and store them sealed between uses.
