• Heating Time: Requires approx. 50–60 seconds to reach operating temperature.
• Vaporization Time: Typically 25–30 seconds per treatment, followed by a brief reheating interval.
• Battery Efficiency: Runs on lower-capacity batteries (1.5–2Ah). At 20°C, a 2Ah battery can deliver up to 10 treatments.

🧪 When to Use Oxalic Acid Vaporization

Oxalic acid vaporization is most effective when mites are on adult bees, not hidden beneath wax cappings. Since oxalic acid can’t penetrate capped brood, the best results happen when the colony is broodless or has reduced brood.

Great times to treat include:

• Late fall or winter, when bees are clustered and broodless
• After capturing or installing a swarm
• During a natural brood break or after requeening

These treatment windows allow the vapor to reach nearly every mite — increasing success rates without disrupting the colony.
