InstantVap Lite: The Backyard Standard

The Lite exists so that a beekeeper with three hives never has to reach for a wand and a car battery again. It is the lightest unit, the simplest (it heats as soon as you click a battery on; there's no switch), and the only one that runs well on the small 2 Ah batteries most people already have in the garage. It gives up a little speed: about 50–60 seconds to heat and 25–30 seconds per dose, with a short reheat between hives. For twenty hives or fewer that is a non-issue. Its parts are its own, so keep a Lite plunger and cap on hand rather than borrowing from a friend's Original.

InstantVap Compact: The Mid-Size Workhorse

Same heating power as the Original in a smaller, better-balanced body. The Compact heats fast, cycles fast, and stores a spare plunger in the handle, which sounds trivial until you're forty hives into a cold morning. It wants a 5 Ah battery to do its best work. If you're between 20 and 60 hives and don't need the Turbo's readout, this is the one most of our customers land on.

InstantVap Original: The Flagship

The Original is the unit that made cordless vaporization mainstream, and it is still the reference point: 25 seconds per hive, an adjustable 1–4 g plunger, a voltage meter, a rugged stainless body with a replaceable stem, and the deepest accessory catalog (carry cases, insulation roofs, extended nozzles, Apimaye and Hive-IQ adapters). On a 6 Ah DeWalt it will treat around 44 hives at 2 g before you think about swapping batteries. If you like the idea of buying the tool everyone else's accessories were designed around, this is it.

InstantVap Turbo: The Fastest Vaporizer We Sell

The Turbo vaporizes a 2 g dose in roughly 10 seconds. That is the headline, but the reason it matters is consistency: dynamic temperature control holds the chamber in a set window (adjustable 446–500°F), an LED screen shows live temperature and battery voltage, and a cycle counter tracks total treatments and treatments on the current battery so you never guess at either. Fast blinking means vaporizing, steady means ready, double-blink means swap the battery. For a sideliner running summer rounds every three days across a yard, the Turbo turns a morning into half an hour. It's also the unit we hand to anyone who says "I just want the best one."

Things That Are the Same on All Four

The acid. All four are designed for EPA-registered oxalic acid; we recommend EZ-OX. Here's why.
